Wine in Gyeonggi Province
Yongin Okro Wine
King Jin Sang of the Joseon Dynasty favored this folk wine. This folk wine is currently the 12th intangible cultural asset in Gyeonggi-do, Daehanminguk and the 10th traditional food appointed by the Korean government. This folk wine is now produced in Yongin by distilling Job's tears and the percentage of alcohol is 45.
Bulhwi
Bulhwi is a high quality health liquor made from 12 kinds of medicinal herbs such as Dongchunghacho (mushroom that grows in silkworm), and has local red ginseng as a main ingredient.
Namhansanseong Soju (Gwangju)
Namhansanseong Soju is a conventional type of Korean traditional wine made of malted rice (ÏÕí) (including Grain syrup (ðãôè)). It is distinguished from other wines because it uses grain syrup, which is brewed twice. This is the reason for its delicate taste and aroma. The brewed rice wine has a beautiful bamboo leaf color (ñÓç¨ßä) and has the scent of the honey.
Pocheon Makgeolli
kkoli contains glucide and choline. This relieves the liver and prevents geriatric diseases. It is full of vitamin B, which reduces fatigue and helps the circulation of blood. It also is good for prevent discoloration and freckles.
