Pyeongtaek Lake Resort



Description
In December 1973 a construction was started to connect Gwongwan-ri, Hyeondeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, and Mowon-ri, Inju-myeon, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, to build a 2,564m-long embankment. The Pyeongtaek Lake constructed along the embankment can contain as much as 98,980,000 tons of water, making it one of the largest artificial lakes in Asia. The lake itself is very attractive for its rich water flowing and its surrounding area also boasts of a lush forest and has many facilities including a picnic
site, a natural trail, convenience facilities as well as yacht club and a pleasure boat. It is a good place for families to have a one-day trip out of the city. As one side of the embankment is the sea and the other side, the lake, you can enjoy the nature as much as you want. The lake, since very close to the sea, has rich crucian carp and carp, becoming a good fish spot around the year.
Facilities: a wind surfing club, an archery club, a multi-Purpose plaza, and a camping site (free)




Transportation
Bus: Take the Pyeongtaek bound bus (at a 20-minute interval) from the Seoul Express Bus Terminal to get off at the Pyeongtaek Bus Terminal and take the Dangjin bound bus(about 50m minutes).
Car: Take the road #1 to pass Anjung and take Road #39 for Seosan (20 minutes) to find the sign saying Asanman (Bay).
