Exporting its proprietary fingerprint identification solution

HIT(www .hit. co. kr) announced that it has been awarded a contract for exporting its proprietary fingerprint identification solution thereby opening the road for expanding into the European market.
HIT, which is the world¡¯s first company to pass the ¡®Biometrics Technology Test for Seafarers¡¯ Identity Document¡¯ of ILO , successfully completed the project for implementing the system for issuing seafarers¡¯ identity documents of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries; it is recognized as the leader in Korea¡¯s biometrics area by implementing systems such as ¡®Scientific Investigation System(e-CRIS)¡¯ of the National Police Agency.
Based on these accomplishments, HIT has established a contract for licensing ¡®BioCenter¡¯, its proprietary fingerprint authentication server solution, to the UK-based company Senselect thereby establishing a significant foothold for exporting purely Korean-developed fingerprint identification solutions to Europe.
Senselect will participate in governmental identification projects(e-ID) currently in progress in the United Kingdom, Italy and France and also in the EU-VISA project through HIT¡¯s solution.
Mr.Russ Davis. CFO of Senselect stated that ¡°HIT¡¯s technology has already been acknowledged as the best in the world through an international technology assessment while being price-competitive as well; therefore, HIT is the best strategic partner for Senselect¡¯s business in Europe.¡±.
HIT is strengthening its leading position in the expansion of Korean products to advanced countries by addressing overseas markets based on proprietary technology.
