HIT(www .hit. co. kr) announced on the 9th this month that it has successfully acquired the MIC certification of the ˇ®Korean-type RFID Gen2 Reader' which is suitable to various domestic standards, as required for release in the domestic market.

This product is an optimization of ˇ®Gen2' developed by Alien Technology, a US company, to the frequency band permitted in Korea, 910~914§Ö

The main features of the ˇ®Korean-Type RFID Gen2 Reader(model name ALR-9800-KOR) are high performance recognition of various tags, storage of more than 2500 tags to provide against power failures, and performance upgrade through firmware upgrade; it is drawing interest being a new generation product exceeding the existing first generation products in recognition ratio etc.

Mr. Leem Jeong Shik, Director, Ubiquitous Business Unit, HIT stated that "by acquiring the MIC certification, we can now secure an advantageous position in the domestic RFDI market" and that " we will carry out aggressive marketing in related business areas such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics etc. in addition to public area projects including the RFID application project for Seoul's weekday-based car control program".
