A Royal Tomb With A Beautiful Natural Curve
Tomb of King Muyeol is a royal tomb where the 29th king of the Silla Dynasty sleeps, situated in the pine tree forests lying at low hill under Seondosan.
The height is as high as 12 meters and the diameter is almost 100 meters. This large burial mound is beautiful with a gentle curve and is the same as other tombs from the early period of the Silla Dynasty, which were largely made without splendid decorations.
This tomb area is total 14,000 square meters in size and is enclosed with lush pine tree forests. In front of the royal tomb, there is a tombstone erected for King Taejong Muyeol (National Treasure No.25).
