Buddhist Figures and Geumcheok-ri Tombs
The commanding grand Buddhist triad stands at the mountain in the rear of Dudae-ri.
It consists of a 2.5 meter-high main Buddha and has minor Buddha on both sides.
It was created in the mid-8th century, the high-point in Silla history.
Forty tombs of various sizes are scattered throughout the village.
According to legend, a mystic golden ruler that can bring the dead back to life is hidden in one the tombs.
