Immigration to expedite easy entry for businessmen

Foreign businessmen will spend less time passing through immigration at international airports in Korea starting the second half of the year as the government plans to introduce an accelerated service (I-PAS) program for them. "We plan to provide automated immigration procedures by using biometrics technology as part of efforts to expedite services for businesspeople," said Lee Chung-woo from the Entry and Exit Inspection Office. Biometrics is an identity recognition technology based upon physiological or behavioral features.
